As a Catholic boy who attended an all-male Catholic school, temptation was everywhere. I lusted after the boys in gym class, and their naked bodies in the locker room – all the while, believing my desires were evil and wrong. Wrestling with that guilt, especially in the malleable mind of a little, is something that tends to stick with you.
It would take years upon years for me to realize that the only evil is telling a little that their desire to love and be loved, to fuck and be fucked, is a sinful abomination. Indeed, the God that I know is present whenever and wherever consensual love and pleasure blossoms or is expressed. Where there is love, there is God.
