Oddly—or maybe it’s the universe’s idea of a cruel joke—from this chaos, great things can happen. From breakdowns come breakthroughs. And to that degree this is a necessary evil in my creative process, the theme of Answered Prayers and the inspiration for The Lamb.
That said, there has been no greater joy and blessing than having the ability to work with a group of amazing performers who allow me the opportunity to both understand and know them in an effort to create their performances. They give me the gift of trust, and it is that trust I am so truly grateful for, because without them, how I work would not be possible.
